AMG Origins

AMG, or Analog Manufaktur Germany, is a turntable manufacturer with origins tracing back to 2009. The company was initiated by Werner Röschlau, a master mechanical engineer and former commercial pilot for Lufthansa. Röschlau had previously manufactured precision parts for the high-end turntable industry and the aerospace sector. In 2009, Röschlau and his son Julian Lorenzi developed their first turntable at a factory in Kelheim, Bavaria, north of Munich. This factory combined modern Computer-Aided Design and CNC machines with traditional analog tools, allowing for the creation of high-precision products.

The first AMG turntable, the Viella, was exhibited at the Munich High End Show in 2010. Following positive reactions from the audiophile community, AMG was officially founded in 2011. The company has since grown into a leading manufacturer of high-end turntables, tonearms, and cartridges, known for its innovative design and precision engineering.
