BC Acoustique
BC Acoustique Origins
BC Acoustique, the manufacturer of the TD-922 turntable, was founded on April 1, 1993 in Paris, France. The company was started by Christian Avedissian and Bruno Roux, who learned the importance of having both a good product and effective marketing strategies in a competitive market. They had been friends for 20 years and shared a common passion for sound and music (Christian studied piano for 14 years) and a common desire to one day start their own business. Christian Avedissian studied computer engineering in Paris, Bruno Roux engineering at the 'Ecole Nationale d'Aviation Civile' in Toulouse. He specialized in signal processing.
Initially, they focused on manufacturing speakers, with the first model being the Araxe. After selling their first pair of Araxe speakers in August 1993, they saw rapid growth and had to start subcontracting to keep up with demand. They introduced the Hudson, a two-way speaker, after a few months.
In 2011, BC Acoustique created a new distribution and manufacturing company called BC Diffusion.
This company continued to work with the original BC Acoustique team and became the official distributor for several other brands in France. Since then, BC Acoustique has continued to innovate, introducing new product lines such as the EX Series of electronics and the Reference Series of bookshelf speakers.
