Electrohome

Electrohome Origins

Electrohome, a Canadian company known for manufacturing turntables, originated in 1907 when Arthur Bell Pollock founded Pollock Manufacturing Co. Ltd. in Kitchener, Ontario, after winning a coin flip with his wife. The company initially manufactured the first phonographs in Canada and later branched out into other consumer goods such as records, radios, and furniture. Electrohome’s involvement with turntables began in the 1960s when they launched stereo turntables, and the Apollo Record Players became a notable success among audiophiles.
