Gold Note

Gold Note Origins

Gold Note is an Italian audio company founded in 2012 by Maurizio Aterini, emerging from a rich history in high-end audio engineering. The company is based in the picturesque countryside of Florence, Italy, where it specializes in turntables, phono preamps, and other analogue audio equipment. Gold Note's inception was driven by Aterini's lifelong passion for audio systems, sparked at a young age when he received a stereo system from his father. This early exposure led him to study engineering and establish a technical design studio in 1992, where he developed the B-5 tonearm, a key component still used in Gold Note turntables today.

Initially, Aterini's studio served third-party clients, but as market dynamics shifted, he recognized the potential to create a distinct brand. In 2012, Gold Note was officially launched, focusing on the North American market while emphasizing Italian craftsmanship and design. The company's products quickly gained recognition for their quality and aesthetic appeal, leading to a strong presence in over 50 countries.

Gold Note's philosophy blends tradition with innovation, aiming to deliver what they term the "Italian Sound," characterized by vivid realism and precise imaging. The brand's commitment to high-quality materials and meticulous engineering has established it as a leader in the high-end audio industry, appealing to audiophiles who appreciate both technological excellence and heritage
