JC Verdier Origins

Jean C. Verdier, the founder of JC Verdier, began his journey in the audio industry in 1963 when he started manufacturing turntables while working for the French company ERA. In 1972, he established his own company, JC Verdier, after leaving ERA. During the 1970s, Verdier developed a magnetic repulsion bearing, which led to the creation of the Platine Verdier turntable. This innovative design has been in continuous production since its launch, with more than 2,000 units sold worldwide. The company has since expanded its product line to include other turntables like the La Nouvelle and Platine Magnum, as well as a range of valve electronics.
