Origins of JR Transrotor

JR Transrotor, a manufacturer of high-quality turntables, has its origins in Germany. The company was founded in 1976 by Jochen Räke, a precision mechanical engineer. The company is still owned by Räke family. Initially, Räke joined a British design office and contributed to the design of several Michell turntables. Upon returning to Germany, he began focusing on the distribution of revamped and optimized Michell turntables. However, he soon shifted his focus to creating his own designs and launched a production line that is fully “Made in Germany.” Since then, Transrotor has continuously strived to improve its manufacturing processes and product quality over the past three decades.
