La Boite Concept Origins
La Boite Concept is an audio company that originated in the Basque Country, a region straddling the French and Spanish borders. The company was founded in 2008 and is known for blending advanced audio technology with handcrafted furniture.
The company’s origins can be traced back to the Cagniard family, who have been involved in the audio industry for several decades. Marie Cagniard, a pioneer in the loudspeaker manufacturing industry, played a significant role in the development of the company. Her son, Thierry Cagniard, and Michel Visan, founder of the brand Davis acoustics, were also instrumental in the creation of La Boite Concept.
La Boite Concept’s in-house R&D laboratory, Custom Creation LAB, has been developing internationally patented audio technologies since its establishment in 2008. This lab is responsible for creating innovative products for La Boite Concept and other companies.
The company is known for its LX Series, which includes the LX and LX Platine models. These models combine advanced audio technology with handmade cabinet work, offering a unique blend of functionality and aesthetics. The LX Platine model includes an integrated vinyl turntable, making it a comprehensive audio solution for music enthusiasts. The turntable is made by Elipson and has an ultra-rigid plywood plinth, carbon tonearm and Ortofon Stylus 10 cartridge.
