Luxman
Origins of Luxman
Luxman Corporation, a manufacturer of luxury audio components, was founded in 1925 in Osaka, Japan. Initially, it began as the radio equipment department of Kinsuido Picture Frame Store, founded by T. Hayakawa and his brother K. Yoshikawa. The company’s early focus was on importing radio equipment and parts, but it soon shifted to manufacturing its own components to reduce costs and compete effectively. Luxman started producing turntables and other audio equipment in the 1960s, catering to audiophiles with high-quality products.
Luxman is owned by the International Audio Group (IAG), a Chinese manufacturer of consumer and professional audio and HiFi components. It is based in Shenzhen in China. It is owned and run by twin brothers Bernard and Michael Chang.
