Origins of Oracle Audio

Oracle Audio Technologies was founded in 1979 by Marcel Riendeau in Canada. The company made its debut with the Delphi turntable, which set a new benchmark for analog playback and introduced a distinctive aesthetic with its open suspended chassis and clear acrylic plinth. This innovative design contrasted with the prevailing British turntables of the time and quickly gained recognition.

The Alexandria turntable was introduced a few years later, in 1980, as a more affordable alternative to the Delphi. It featured a conventional appearance and was priced at $995, including a tonearm. The Alexandria was designed to be more accessible to a broader audience while maintaining the quality and performance standards set by Oracle Audio.

Marcel Riendeau, the founder, and his brother Jacques Riendeau, the current co-owner, have been instrumental in the company’s development and continued support of its products. Oracle Audio Technologies is known for its dedication to delivering exceptional sound quality and is proudly manufactured in Canada.
