Soulines

Origins of Soulines

Soulines, the manufacturer of the Kubrick DCX turntable, originated in Serbia. The company was founded in 2009 by Igor Gligorov, who has a degree in Mechanical Design and Engineering. Initially, the company operated under the name “tt recycled,” focusing on turntable upgrades, recycling, and redesign. This venture quickly established itself as a local turntable specialist, successfully upgrading and redesigning turntables for clients.

In 2011, Soulines introduced the Hermes DCX turntable, which gained popularity and won “The Best Sound Award” at the Belgrade Hi-Files Show. This success prompted the company to offer its products worldwide. Soulines then developed a range of turntables, each named after notable figures such as composers, a novelist, a film director, and a Greek god. The Kubrick DCX, named after Stanley Kubrick, was inspired by the Space Station V from the film “2001: A Space Odyssey.”

Soulines’ approach to turntable design emphasizes a balance between mechanical components and their interactions, aiming to create a product that combines musicality, beauty, and ease of use. The company uses advanced design software like SolidWorks to model stresses and vibrational behavior before manufacturing, ensuring high-quality and precise components.
