Origins of STST

STST, a German Hi-Fi manufacturer, was founded by Stefan Strohmetz in 1985. The company specializes in direct drive turntables and has developed two models: the Motus and the Motus II. The Motus II, in particular, features a separate sub-chassis for the motor and tonearm base, which is mounted on a fully sprung suspension system to minimize external vibrations. This design allows for a more precise and vibration-free playback, enhancing the audio quality.
