Trio
Trio Origins
The origins of the Trio audio company, which manufactured the KD-9X turntable, can be traced back to 1946 when it was established as the Kasuga Radio Co. Ltd. in Komagane, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. In 1960, the company was renamed to Trio Corporation. Trio Corporation began its international expansion in 1963 by establishing its first overseas office in Los Angeles County, California, USA. Trio Corporation was known for manufacturing audio equipment, including turntables like the KD-9X. In 2011, Trio Corporation was merged with JVC to form JVCKenwood, and the Kenwood brand continues to exist as a result of this merger.
