WEGA

Origins of Wega

The Wega audio company, known for manufacturing the Modul 42P turntable, is associated with Württembergische Radio-Gesellschaft mbH, a German company based in Stuttgart. The Modul 42P turntable was part of a series of audio equipment produced by Wega during the late 1970s and early 1980s. The turntable was manufactured between 1978 and 1980 and was designed by Hartmut Esslinger, known for his work in industrial design.

It’s worth noting that while the Modul 42P turntable was made in Japan, it was part of a comprehensive audio system designed by Wega, which included an amplifier (Modul 42V), a tuner (Modul 42T), and a tape deck (Modul 42C).
