Origins of Zavfino
Zavfino, an audio company known for manufacturing high-quality turntables and tonearms, has its origins in cable engineering and production. The company has been in the field of cable engineering for over 18 years, supplying internal wire to major manufacturers. Since 2004, Zavfino has also been involved in contract design and manufacturing of turntables and components for prestigious brands in the high-end audio industry. In 2015, Zavfino introduced its first turntable line, the ZV5 series, which was combined with the Knife-edge aluminum and carbon Ashena series tonearms. The company’s CEO, Will Tremblett, named the company 1877Phono after the year Edison invented the phonograph, and the tonearms were named Aeshna after a genus of dragonflies, inspired by his daughters’ affectionate nickname for the tonearms.
