Built by the team behind the REPS recorders after they grew frustrated modifying third-party (Collaro) mechanisms, Chilton designed and built their own tape mechanism from scratch. A single-motor, three-head stereo deck with smooth, light-touch button operation, 10 watts per channel and two internal oval speakers.
