Invented by Mr. Tutchings for the Royal Radar Establishment, a simple tape transport mechanism that slipped onto an existing turntable and used its rotation (at 78 rpm) to drive the tape spools at 7.5 ips, letting an existing radiogram double as a tape recorder. A fully transistorised, battery-powered control unit handled record/play switching and microphone input; no fast-forward or rewind was provided. Accommodated spools up to 5.75 inches.
