Additional Information

First appearing about 1950, the PT6 underwent very few changes by the time this version, the PT6-AH tape mechanism and accompanying amplifier PT6-J were advertised in the Allied radio catalog of 1955. The transport had two motors, one hysteresis synchronous for all forward functions and a shaded pole motor for rewind only. Earlier versions had a single speed drive with a capstan sleeve for speed change while later versions had both the sleeve and a two speed motor.
