Additional Information
The RS-736 was a domestic quality quarter-track stereo three head, three speed tape deck featuring National Panasonic’s exclusive HPH (Hot-Pressed Ferrite) heads, which gave an impressively wide frequency range. Unusual for a domestic product, the high tape speed of 15 ips was available. This was achieved by employing a second capstan and pinch roller, both located in a small compartment at the back of the unit. Large VU meters, EQ switch, slide-type faders for record and playback and mic/line mixing gave this machine a semi-professional appearance.
