Additional Information

The RS-790US was a quarter-track stereo bi-directional dual-capstan tape recorder with built-in amplifiers and speakers. Three speeds were offered and the maximum reel size was 7 inches. Other features included a four-digit tape indicator, sound-on-sound recording, all transistor design, inbuilt 10 watts (music power) per channel solid state amplifiers, two 7 x 5 inch internal speakers and twin VU meters. The recorder sold (new) in the UK for 183 GBP 15s and 235 GBP 4s with external speakers.
