Additional Information

Early miniature transistor reel-to-reel from Trix (Trix Vereinigte Spielwarenfabriken, Nurnberg, West Germany) - one of the first micro open-reel recorders, produced mainly for export (marketed in some markets as the Clarion Transitape). Configuration: half-track mono, fully transistorised, small battery portable. Note: this early series used no formal model numbers, so the exact split between 'Phonotrix 1' and 'Phonotrix 2' is loosely documented; the fuller spec detail is given under Phonotrix 2.
