Robuk's first recorder (Robuk Electrical Industries / S. Korobuk Ltd., London), available from 1960, built on the in-house Motek K10 'piano-key' transport.
Configuration: all-valve, mono, three-speed, twin-track, 7-inch reel capacity.
Features: superimposition, EM84 'magic-eye' record-level indicator, side-mounted rim controls, separate tone and volume, and sockets for external speaker/amplifier.
Electronics/physical: valves ECC83, ECL82, EL84, EZ80, EM84; 7 x 4-inch hi-flux speaker; 406 x 292 x 184 mm; about 10.5 kg. Priced 36 guineas new.
