A mono quarter-track recorder with two speeds and a boldly styled sloping fascia, using push-button transport controls. Stereo playback of pre-recorded tapes was possible with an external EL3587 pre-amplifier and extra speaker; the hybrid amplifier used two valves, five transistors, a selenium rectifier and a diode. Also sold in the UK as the Cossor 1604.
