  • Three motors:
One capstan motor (belt-driven) for precise tape speed control.
Two reel motors for tape winding and tension control.

  • Tape speeds: 3¾ ips (9.5 cm/s) and 7½ ips (19 cm/s).

  • Supports 7-inch reels.

  • Timing accuracy: approximately ±0.15% to ±0.5%.

  • Wow and flutter: about 0.15% at 7½ ips.

  • Weight: approximately 37–40 lbs (17–18 kg).

Frequency Response and Sound Quality

  • Frequency response: 50 Hz to 15 kHz at 7½ ips.

  • Signal-to-noise ratio: around 45 dB.

  • Output: 1 V line level.

  • Noise reduction: not built-in but compatible with external units.

Inputs and Outputs

  • Line input and output via RCA connectors.

  • Microphone inputs available.

  • Headphone output included.

Additional Features

  • Auto-reverse mechanism using a mechanical loop on the tape reel to trigger direction change.
