The TEAC A-2300SR is a  4-track, 2-channel stereo reel-to-reel tape deck produced in the mid to late 1970s. It is part of the well-regarded A-2300 series and features auto-reverse playback, making it convenient for continuous tape operation without manual flipping.


Track and Head System

  • 4-track, 2-channel stereo/monaural quarter-track format.

  • Three heads: one erase, one record, and one playback head made of permalloy.

  • Auto-reverse playback capability switches between tracks 1 & 3 and 2 & 4 automatically.

Tape Transport and Motors
