Additional Information
This model is a close sibling to the RS-714US, positioned slightly higher in the early-1970s Technics consumer lineup, but still well before the famous quartz direct-drive Isolated Loop machines.
The RS-715US was marketed toward serious home recordists who wanted better electronics and flexibility than entry-level decks, but it does not share the transport design of later Technics professional machines.
Transport Design
Conventional open-reel transport
Mechanical push-button controls
No isolated loop or electronic tape tension control
Manual threading and braking
Motors
2-motor configuration

Transport performance is typical for early-1970s consumer machines.
