Additional Information

Czechoslovak reel-to-reel recorders from Tesla (Tesla Prelouc), catalogue types ANP225 (B41) and ANP223 (B42) - close siblings of the legendary, widely-owned Tesla B4 (ANP220) family. Configuration: four-track mono, germanium-transistor electronics, AC-mains powered; three tape speeds (2.38, 4.75 and 9.53 cm/s); slider-operated winding with an electromagnet-controlled pinch roller; four-digit counter; illuminated needle level meter; built-in elliptical speaker with an external-speaker output. Features: 'trick' (sound-on-sound) recording without erasing, separate record-level for microphone and other inputs, tone correction, and a connector for the AZZ941 pickup amplifier that allows stereo playback; inputs for microphone, radio and crystal-pickup gramophone. A common weak point is the plastic reel-holder wings, which tend to break.
