Additional Information

Higher-end valve hi-fi recorder distinguished by a bi-directional auto-reverse transport using a single reversible pole-switching capstan motor with twin head assemblies mounted either side, plus two separate reel motors for fast wind. Half-track mono, two-speed operation with under-1% speed variation, auto stop, digital counter, direction indicators, a magic-eye level indicator, separate bass/treble tone controls and a 10-watt push-pull output stage. Aimed at the audiophile market but commercially unsuccessful due to its high price, and withdrawn in 1964.
