Additional Information
Advanced late-1970s Hi-Fi deck claimed by Uher to be the first home recorder to operate without a pressure roller, using an 'Omega' tape-looping system and motionless tape-tension regulators for very low wow and flutter. Driven by three transport motors plus a servo-drive motor under computer-controlled logic, with all electronics on plug-in circuit boards and interchangeable plug-in heads (two-track or four-track stereo). Additional features included a stroboscope disc for fine speed adjustment, a peak level limiter, a fade-over regulator and A/B stereo monitoring. Accepted reels up to 10 inches.
