Quarter-track version of the British Van der Molen deck, produced later in the same year as the VR4 and slightly cheaper.
Both VR4 and VR7 sold poorly against stereo and cassette machines; from 1967 remaining units were sold off as transport decks only (fitted with quarter-track record/playback and ferrite erase heads) for constructors, at about 15 pounds 15s.
