Additional Information

British Veritone '16' (Veritone, 1958-65) - a hand-built, near-professional valve machine using Veritone's own '825' three-motor deck. Configuration: half-track mono, accepting spools up to 8.25 inches, and offered with either 3.75/7.5 ips or 7.5/15 ips speed pairs; 220-240 V. Build: special Ferodo wrap-around brake linings gave one of the fastest rewinds of its day, and the machine was finished to a high standard (its chromium plating was reportedly done by the same platers who plated Rolls-Royce radiators).
