Additional information
The E.A.T C-Major turntable is a high-value-for-money turntable designed for seasoned music lovers and those new to vinyl LPs. It offers greater performance and sophistication compared to budget sector turntables and is priced even lower than the widely-acclaimed C-Sharp, which is EAT's most successful turntable to date.
The C-Major features a super-flat design with a low-profile base chassis made of high-density MDF, an ultra-low-noise motor, and damping feet constructed from energy-absorbing TPE. The subchassis is a sandwich of carbon fiber and MDF composite, providing ultimate rigidity.
The turntable includes a factory-fitted Ortofon Quintet Blue cartridge and comes with a dust cover. It has a 9-inch carbon fiber tonearm, which combines the advantages of a unipivot arm with a Cardan design for high stability and low friction.
The C-Major supports 33/45 rpm speeds manually, with a speed variance of ± < 0.09% at 33rpm and ± < 0.10% at 45rpm. It has a wow and flutter of ± < 0.05% at both speeds and a signal-to-noise ratio of -40 dB for mechanical noise and -68 dB for electrical noise.
The turntable has a downforce range of 0 – 30 mN and an effective tonearm mass of 14.5 g with an effective tonearm length of 230 mm. It has an overhang of 18 mm and a power consumption of 5 W max / 0.5W standby.
Dimensions of the C-Major are 460 × 352 × 125mm without a dustcover, 460 × 352 × 142mm with a closed dustcover, and 460 × 380 × 435mm with an opened dustcover. The weight of the turntable is 9 kg without the box.
