The Edwards Audio TT6 SC Carbon Turntable is Edwards Audio's top-of-the-range model, offering performance that is unsurpassed at its price point. It features an additional "sandwich" to the constrained layer damping technology, which is typically associated with the aerospace industry for dissipating fractional vibrations and noise. The TT6 SC comes with a custom TALK 24V motor and an external SC5 DSP-based speed controller, allowing for easy speed changes and micro-adjustment of the actual rotational speed of the turntable.
The TT6 SC is built with a 7-layer constrained damping plinth made of acrylic and an 18 mm machined acrylic platter. It includes a TALK A6 captive unipivot tonearm with a 12 mm carbon fibre armtube, which is terminated with a fully machined blue anodised headshell mount. The tonearm also features a 12mm pultruded carbon fibre armtube and is wired with litz type internal wiring for better performance. The bearing is an 18 mm brass housing with a ceramic thrust bearing.
