Additional information

The Electrocompaniet ECG-1 turntable is a manual belt-drive turntable designed for high-quality vinyl playback. It features a 24-volt AC synchronous motor and a platter made of acrylic material, which is 30 mm thick and weighs 3 kilograms. The turntable's chassis is a sandwich construction made of acrylic and aluminum, providing both resonance damping and rigidity. It comes with a Jelco SA-750 EB tonearm, capable of handling cartridges weighing between 4 and 12 grams.

The ECG-1 turntable was introduced by Electrocompaniet in response to the resurgence of vinyl records in the 21st century. It is not just an OEM turntable with Electrocompaniet's branding but was designed from first principles, incorporating anti-resonance and vibration control techniques. The turntable is known for its ability to let listeners hear what happened in the studio without being overly detailed or brash.

A limited edition version of the ECG-1 turntable was released in 2020, featuring a new 3-phase 24-volt synchronous motor, a new drive pulley, and an oversized power supply, along with a special Silenzio Base from HMS.
