Additional information
The Fons International MK1 is a vintage turntable that was introduced in 19795. It shares design similarities with the Ariston RD11E and was designed by Hamish Robertson and Fergus Fons. This turntable features a DC motor mounted on a sprung sub-chassis, which is an unusual design for its time. The MK1 was designed to play 78s and can be adjusted for different speeds
The turntable can be fitted with various tonearms, including the SME 3009, Linn LVV, and Sumiko MMT. The armboard is typically cut for an SME arm, but it can accommodate other arms as well.
