The Garrard 86SB is a 2-speed belt-drive turntable designed for playing records at 33 1/3 and 45 revolutions per minute. It features a heavy, belt-driven platter powered by the Garrard Synchro-Lab synchronous motor and includes a tubular aluminum pickup arm with an integral calibrated bias compensator that can accept a wide range of cartridges requiring a stylus force as low as 0.75gm.
