Additional information
Plinth: A split hardwood plinth suspension system consisting of a lower platform resting on three air-dampened feet, and an upper platform resting on three visco-elastic polymer pucks. The plinth is designed to eliminate vibrations. Custom hardwood plinths are available at an additional cost. The painted MDF plinths start off as 1.375" thick MDF sheets.
Motor: It incorporates a DC motor drive system that starts with a high-quality Maxon DC motor. The motor controller monitors and controls platter speed with a sensor mounted in the upper plinth, which scans a strobe pattern on the bottom of the platter. A "clean" function bypasses the speed control circuitry and increases motor torque for record cleaning.
Platter: A high-mass, 1.5” thick acrylic platter with ten outer perimeter pockets filled with lead shot and encapsulated in epoxy for increased momentum and consistent speed.
Bearing: The massive spindle bearing has a polished stainless steel shaft inside a sleeve of ultra-high molecular weight (UHMW) polyethylene. The shaft sits on a UHMW button upon a precision stainless steel ball bearing. This design eliminates metal-to-metal contact, reducing audible resonance.
Tonearm: George-Warren turntables come with a Moth Arm2 Incognito-wired tonearm, which uses a three-point mounting method
3. It includes VTA adjustment clips to raise the arm without disconnecting it from the arm board.Belt: High-grade 4-6 lb fishing line is used to couple the motor to the platter.
Speed Control: The built-in motor control system features a sensor that reads the strobe pattern embedded into the platter bottom and updates the controller to produce speed accuracy and stability
