Coral Origins

The Coral Audio company, manufacturer of the CP-701 turntables, was founded in Japan probably in the 1950s, with the earliest known brochure dating from 1958. Coral Audio Corporation was known for producing high-quality loudspeaker cabinets and drivers. They also manufactured amplifiers, tuners, receivers, and turntables in the 1960s, and pickup systems in the 1970s. Unfortunately, the company went bankrupt in the mid-1980s.
