The TEAC A-4300SX is a high-quality 4-track, 2-channel stereo/monaural reel-to-reel tape deck produced in Japan between 1976 and 1978, designed for home and semi-professional use.


  • Track System:
    Auto-reverse, 4-track, 2-channel stereo/monaural system.

  • Heads:
    Four heads total: 2 playback heads, 1 erase head, and 1 record head, enabling bi-directional playback and recording.

    Three motors:
    One dual-speed hysteresis synchronous capstan motor for precise tape speed control.
    Two eddy current reel motors for smooth tension and tape transport.
