The Dual 1229Q is a variation of the 1229 automatic turntable, designed for playing records at 33, 45, and 78 RPM speeds with a pitch control variation of 6% at all speeds, which is approximately one semitone. It features a synchronous continuous-pole motor with a radial elastic suspension and a non-magnetic, dynamically balanced platter weighing 3.1 kg (6.8 lb). The tonearm is extra-long, torsionally rigid, and in a 4-point gimbal suspension, with a removable cartridge holder that accepts all 1/2" cartridges from 1 to 12g.
