Additional information

The Garrard Zero 100SB turntable is an innovative and aesthetically pleasing piece of equipment known for its automatic operation and high fidelity sound quality. It features a unique tonearm that virtually eliminates tracking error, a magnetic anti-skating system, and a motor that combines the advantages of both induction and synchronous motors. The Zero 100SB also includes a record speed and pitch control system with a built-in stroboscopic check, and a tilting device to set the cartridge at a 15-degree tracking angle.

The SB model is a development of the original Zero 100, with the "S" suffix indicating single play, and the "B" indicating belt drive. This results in a simpler mechanism compared to the original model, which was idler drive. The color scheme was changed from gold and cream to silver and black to align with contemporary fashion trends.

One of the standout features of the Zero 100SB is its "Zero Error" arm, which keeps the stylus in line with the record groove as the arm moves across the record. This is achieved by changing the angle of the headshell as the arm moves across the record, ensuring minimal tracking error.

The Zero 100SB also includes a play counter that helps users monitor the wear on the stylus, ensuring timely replacement and prolonging the life of the cartridge.
