Additional information

The Gold Note Mediterraneo is a belt-driven turntable that combines aesthetics with technical design for high-end audio performance.

Key Features and Technical Specs:

  • Plinth: The plinth features a design inspired by the catenary curve, utilizing a 60mm thick curved plinth made of Italian walnut hardwood. It's coupled with a 20mm polished acrylic board and reinforced with a 3mm stainless steel plate to enhance damping and stability. The base rests on adjustable anodized aluminum spikes.

  • Platter: The platter is 45mm thick and made of high-density polyoxymethylene (POM), referred to as Sustarin, designed to dampen unwanted vibrations.

  • Motor: It uses a 12V synchronous motor powered by a proprietary control system with a Quadral-Core microcontroller and audio converter. This system rebuilds the AC wave to drive the motor, reducing vibrations and improving torque. Electronic controls manage 33⅓rpm and 45rpm speeds, with settings stored in memory.

  • Bearing: The turntable features an 80mm long bearing/spindle made of hardened carbon steel with a bronze bearing system.

  • Tonearm: The Mediterraneo is equipped with a Gold Note B-7 Ceramic tonearm. Some versions may come with a B-5. tonearm. The B-7 Ceramic tonearm features ceramic ball bearings made by GRW-Germany.

  • Transmission: A 70 shores rectified EPDM belt is used for transmission.

  • Wow & Flutter: 0.1%

  • Rumble: -80dB

  • Dimensions: 470mm (W) x 210mm (H) x 360mm (D)

  • Weight: 20 kg (net) / 26 kg (boxed)

The design is inspired by the Renaissance bridge "Ponte Santa Trinita" in Florence. The plinth's shape uses the catenary curve to provide strength and elegance
