Additional information
The Gold Note Pianosa is a belt-drive turntable that combines quality materials and technical solutions for audio performance.
Key Features and Technical Specs:
Plinth: The Pianosa features a multi-layered plinth design. It consists of a curved 50mm plinth made of Italian walnut hardwood or lacquered MDF, coupled with a 20mm thick MDF plinth and reinforced with a 3mm stainless steel plate for rigidity. The shape of the wooden plinth is designed as an arch, using the mathematics behind the catenary curve to provide support, insulation, and rigidity.
Motor: It utilizes a 12V high-torque synchronous motor with Gold Note PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) technology. The motor is externally powered and decoupled from the chassis via an elastomer material, which acts as a floating element. Electronic controls are tailored to deliver torque, power, and stability.
Platter: The turntable features a 23mm dampened platter made of poly-vinyl.
Bearing: The Pianosa features a high-precision platter bearing/spindle design with low coupling tolerance. The rectified spindle is made of hardened chromed steel and matches a chromed ball bearing.
Tonearm: It comes with a Gold Note B-5.1 9” gimballed tonearm.
Speed Control: Electronic speed control allows for 33⅓ rpm and 45 rpm speeds with fine pitch control.
Transmission: A 70 shore rectified belt in polyvinyl is used for transmission.
