Gold Note T-5

The Gold Note T-5 is a belt-drive turntable, entirely handcrafted in Italy, designed to deliver high-quality vinyl playback at its price point.

Key Features and Technical Specs:

• Chassis: The chassis is constructed from 23mm thick MDF (medium-density fiberboard) optimized to minimize coloration. The black lacquered plinth is shaped with strategic cutouts around the motor, bearing, and edges to reduce resonance. It rests on three unique feet made of NBR (a rubber polymer) with a 6mm threaded steel rod insert for height adjustment and vibration absorption.

• Platter: It features a 15mm thick platter made of ultra-translucent silica (glass), providing density and inertia to minimize noise and extract fine details from the vinyl groove. The platter is paired with a wool felt mat.

• Bearing: The platter utilizes an inverted bearing with a chromed steel 5mm ball bearing to increase stability and ensure frictionless rotation.

• Motor: The T-5 uses a 12V AC synchronous motor developed in collaboration with Mechtex. It is electronically regulated to minimize vibrational behavior.

• Tonearm: Equipped with the Gold Note B-5.2 9-inch tonearm, a static balance arm that builds upon the B-5.. It features four custom-made micro ball-bearings, a 1mm thick aluminum 6000 alloy arm wand, and AWG36 Hyper Litz shielded, 99.9999% OFC continuous copper wiring from the headshell to the connecting RCA cables. VTA and azimuth are adjustable.

• Belt: The turntable uses a rectified EPDM polyvinyl belt.

• Speed Control: Manual speed change is achieved by positioning the belt on the appropriate pulley.
