Additional information

  • Plinth Material: The plinth is made from a wooden log, specifically aged oak or pitch pine, crafted from approximately 20 pieces of timber glued together in a spiral fashion to control resonances.

  • Platter:
    Material: Gravity spun cast iron.
Design: The platter has no imperfections on its surface or internally, ensuring balance. The center of both sides is removed to maximize inertia.
Top Layer: Features a 25mm thick graphite 'mat' for complete damping.

  • Bearing:
Material: Cobalt steel spindle with a special thrust bearing.
Design: The thrust bearing includes a pump mechanism that changes the oil every time the platter moves slightly, ensuring continuous lubrication.

  • Motor:
Type: Ultra-low-torque outboard AC synchronous motor.
Design: Requires manual start by pushing the platter; designed to minimize vibration.

  • Speed Control: Manual speed change between 33.3 and 45 rpm.

  • Tonearm Compatibility: Can accommodate up to two tonearms, with armboards made to order.

  • Power Supply: Comes with its own power supply as standard.

  • Additional Features:
Special rubber feet with an affinity for 50Hz to damp motor resonance.
Unique resonance control system using the wooden log plinth to guide vibrations east-west and damp them at the ends
